Our little country living experiment has come to a close. I've been travelling to work daily from our little town, but the driving has become too much, and the long-distance lifestyle is one which probably doesn't have a very long future.
So, here we are on the coast again, hopefully with the best of both worlds...close to the good stuff like coffee shops and (ahem) a movie theatre, but still in a nice small town. Still much nicer than living in a big city like Sydney, which I found too crowded, too busy, too fashionable and too expensive to enjoy for what it is, and I'm only 5 minutes from work.
The somewhat traumatised feline is adjusting well, and is even getting the hang of his new cat-door, although he needs more practice, but he's still a bit scared of going outside.
So the picture is from my new walk - which is actually part of the Great South West Walk, definitely a different feeling to the peach blossoms I'm leaving behind!
